Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. We perform implants, extractions, biopsies, expose and bonding. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment for patients while utilizing their knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Oral Surgeon during various dental procedures, ensuring efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Take medical imaging such as X-rays, CT cone beams, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using WinOMS software
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize clinic operations.
- Ensure that the dental clinic is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as WinOMS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
