Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Associates is a growing oral surgery practice serving the Greater New Orleans area, with offices in Metairie and Marrero, Louisiana, and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Our mission is simple: treat every patient like they are a VIP from their first phone call through their final follow-up visit. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented Surgical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, maintains a positive attitude, remains calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their surgical experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment
- Setting up surgical operatories with all necessary supplies and materials
- Obtaining and documenting patient medical histories
- Taking CBCT scans and Panoramic xrays
- Assisting surgeons during office-based surgical procedures
- Monitoring patients during surgery, including cardiac monitoring
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Supporting a positive, patient-focused team environment
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
This is a full-time position. Team members are primarily based in our Metairie and Marrero offices, with occasional coverage at our Bay St. Louis location as needed.
