Duties
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients and their families, providing clear information and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate planning, ensuring smooth transitions of care for patients
- Assist with intake processes, verifying patient information and facilitating documentation in electronic health record systems while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support case management activities by facilitating communication between patients, physicians, and insurance providers to optimize utilization review and managed care processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, complaints, or feedback to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote a positive patient experience by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of operations with experience in dental or medical field
- Experience working within EMR/EHR systems to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with patient care and communication
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
