Oral & Facial Surgery of the Shoals is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. In this key clinical role, you will support our oral surgeons during procedures, help maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment, and ensure every patient receives outstanding care in a professional and welcoming setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial procedures to ensure smooth and efficient treatment.
- Prepare treatment rooms in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain strict infection control procedures, including proper sterilization and organization of instruments and equipment.
- Capture high-quality diagnostic dental x-rays and scans as needed for patient evaluation.
- Provide patients with clear, supportive post-operative instructions and guidance on oral care.
- Accurately enter patient information, chart notes, and clinical documentation.
- Perform administrative and computer-based office tasks using dental software.
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- 1 years of oral surgery or dental assisting experience preferred.
- 1 years of customer service experience preferred, with a strong commitment to patient-first service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer-based tasks and dental software.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
