The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for the sales, technical support, program management, and growth of ORAFOL Americas Reflective Solutions in the Americas. Responsibilities include sales of all Reflective Solution products through both direct and distribution channels, as well as the development and growth of new and existing business to the end user, technical support, application engineering and new product or application development. The BDM will be responsible for managing the territories to include any regions within those territories and in close collaboration with the Market Managers. Those responsibilities include creating, contributing and managing the sales budgets for all regions within the territories.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sales

  • Works with the Market Managers of Traffic, Vehicle Conspicuity, and Personal Safety Products to develop and execute a sales plan to drive end user demand in the all markets that will result in increased sales and market share.
  • Meet and exceed the forecast for sales revenue and volumes for the territory based upon territory and overall company goals.
  • Provide all necessary technical support, application training and troubleshooting to our existing and new targeted accounts in these regions as well as others when deemed necessary.
  • Recognize and provide ongoing reporting of competitive activity including products, pricing, and programs.
  • Position ORAFOL products and programs based on the value it brings to each individual customer.

Business Development

  • Manage the ongoing programs and marketing strategies to promote the growth of ORAFOL Americas and our distribution partners.
  • Focus on end users within our markets of opportunity for ORAFOL Americas Inc.
  • Implement a strategy for obtaining and developing ORAFOL as a specified product for end users and any additional products as directed.
  • Recognize and develop new direct accounts, distributors, and end users, for the sale of ORAFOL Americas products.
  • Recognize and report market trends, new products and product improvements.
  • Assist in product development with application support, testing and engineering.

Other

  • Provide historical data by maintaining records on territory and customer sales.
  • Manage territory expenses according to the budget.
  • Ensure a unified and overall consistent image is built for ORAFOL through all facets of the territory.
  • Participate in sales conference calls and meetings on a regular basis.
  • Carry out other tasks as requested by management.
  • To be valued and contributing member of the overall sales team.
  • 80% to 90% travel time required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The ability to work independently in the field with a broad base of customers including distributors.
  • Possess the ability to be organized and detailed in the administration of the sales efforts; including computer applications for sales management (MS Word, Power Point, Excel and contact management).
  • Follow prescribed safety guidelines in accordance to ORAFOL Americas Safety program; use required PPE.
  • Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOLs Quality Program.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:

  • 5 plus years of industry or industry related experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills supported by the ability to negotiate and close sales.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will reside in CA.
