Job summary

The Shipping and Receiving Tech is responsible for assisting and helping the Shipping and Receiving Lead Tech in the Shipping and Receiving procedures.  The Shipping and Receiving Tech also helps to ensure that the packaged product conforms to ORAFOL packaging specification requirements.

EssEntial functions

• Safe operation of all Orafol manufacturing equipment.

• Certified to drive and operate Orafol Fork Trucks within the Plant.

• Assists Shipping and Receiving Lead Tech.
• Receives and off-loads incoming shipments.
• Count and reconcile incoming shipments against vendor packing slips & PO's.
• Assists Shipping and Receiving Lead Tech in any shipping/receiving/packing responsibilities as deemed necessary.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace.
• Follows prescribes safety regulations.
• Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOL’s Specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

POSITION requirements

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or previous experience
• Strong Written and oral communication skills required
• Basic math skills and computer entry skills desired

Work Experience:

• At least one (1) year or related Warehouse experience and Forklift certification preferred.

• Must be a fast learner, driven and self-motivated; strive towards continuous improvement
• Ability to work with little to no supervision, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 80lbs regularly
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.  Required to bend, stoop., climb, crawl or kneel occasionally.
