Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking self-motivated leaders who thrive on solving system-level and data-plane architecture challenges at scale. As a Senior Manager, you will lead an accomplished engineering team responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and operating virtual networking and storage services across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s global enterprise cloud. We are seeking a leader with deep technical knowledge in networking and/or storage, architectural expertise, and a strong background in distributed systems. You are passionate about building and running reliable, scalable services, and adept at fostering high-performing, collaborative development teams in an agile environment.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,600 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high-performance engineering team specializing in networking and/or storage solutions for enterprise cloud environments.
- Identify, attract, and retain top talent in software, cloud, and infrastructure engineering.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of cloud networking and/or storage services—from solution architecture and software development to deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Develop actionable project plans in partnership with product and technical leaders.
- Ensure your team provides robust, 24x7 support for highly reliable, no-downtime systems and architectures.
- Build and nurture relationships with peer OCI service owners to drive seamless integrations, efficient escalations, and cross-functional success.
- Champion a culture of process improvement, automation, and sustainable service scaling.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10 years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, with direct experience in networking and storage technologies.
- 2 years delivering and maintaining large-scale, highly available distributed systems; expertise in cloud networking and/or storage an advantage.
- 5 years managing and developing engineering teams.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud architecture, core networking protocols, storage subsystems, and distributed systems.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, and inspire exceptional engineering talent.
- Results-oriented, thriving in agile, dynamic environments with evolving priorities and high standards for reliability and performance.
