Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain features and services for our streaming platform, meeting production-scale goals for performance, latency, and durability.
- Participate in the complete software lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.
- Debug and resolve production issues while improving observability, instrumentation, and operational maturity.
- Contribute to reliability and automation initiatives, including tooling, CI/CD, configuration management, and process optimization.
- 5 years of hands-on software development experience in distributed systems, platforms, or cloud services.
- Proficient in at least one major programming language (Java, Go, Python, or similar), with a record of shipping production-ready code.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts—streaming ingestion and delivery, fault tolerance, partitioning, and observability.
- Comfortable analyzing trade-offs between latency, throughput, and resource utilization, and optimizing for performance at scale.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret logs, metrics, and telemetry to identify root causes.
- Collaborative communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams, values feedback, and contributes to shared technical excellence.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and large-scale streaming systems.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, pub/sub models, or time-series semantics.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and observability stacks (metrics, logs, tracing).
- Experience in operational support, incident response, or reliability engineering for production systems.
