We are looking for a talented Senior Principal Software Development Engineer to join our team building Oracle’s groundbreaking, AI-powered centralized ticketing platform. In this role, you'll design and deliver solutions that enable smarter, faster, and more reliable triage for millions of OCI users worldwide. You are a technology leader with innovator mindset. You can roll up your sleeves and create designs, solve complex challenges, drive standards of implementation, and write code. You will influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of key timelines and service evolution. You will mentor and grow the technical talent within the organization, and you will ensure the technical roadmap is adhered to as we integrate our service across OCI.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Responsibilities:

Bring your strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help shape the next generation of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Ticketing Platform. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable, high-performance services with AI workflows.
  • Design, implement and maintain software components across the full development lifecycle. Contribute to debugging, performance tuning, and improving reliability of system-level software.
  • Drive architectural and design decisions with broad impact across OCI.
  • Champion best practices in software engineering, design standards, code quality, security, continuous integration/deployment and operations excellence. 
  • Champion positive team culture of constant improvement, open feedback, and healthy technical debate.
  • Mentor and support engineers through design reviews, code pairing, and knowledge sharing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience designing, delivering and operating large scale, highly available enterprise software
  • o years of experience working with leading cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Strong experience in Java, Python, TypeScript, React, AI/ML, modern CI/CD
  • Proven success in building high-volume, low latency cloud services using latest cloud native capabilities, Java/J2EE technologies and open-source frameworks
  • Familiarity with running and supporting production systems in mission-critical, live-service environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership in making critical technical decisions and setting engineering vision. 
  • An exceptional communicator who can write, present and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences and organizations
  • A proven ability to navigate and effectively collaborate cross-functionally and globally in large complex environments
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to be ‘hands on’ and close to the technology
  • Experience in mentoring and growing developers with team members globally

Salary : $96,800 - $251,600
