We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for core database security capabilities across enterprise and cloud environments. In this role, you will drive product direction for secure connectivity, authentication integrations, and cryptography-related requirements that are foundational to protecting customer data at scale.
This is a highly technical PM role suited for someone with a strong database administration background who can translate deep security and infrastructure concepts into clear product requirements and customer value. You will work closely with engineering, security, architecture, and field teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable database security solutions.
Must-Have Background & Skills
- Database administration experience:
- 3 years of hands-on experience as a working DBA
- Strong understanding of database fundamentals, operations, and real-world customer environments
- Cryptography fundamentals:
- Working knowledge of TLS/SSL, common cryptographic algorithms, and FIPS concepts/compliance
- Authentication fundamentals:
- Solid understanding of enterprise authentication and authorization concepts, including Kerberos, PKI/certificates, and RADIUS
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong product thinking with the ability to prioritize and execute in a complex, highly technical space
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Familiarity with modern cloud identity and authentication patterns, such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID or similar)
- Background working with security, compliance, or infrastructure-focused products
- Experience supporting both on-prem and cloud-based enterprise customers

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

What You’ll Do
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for database security capabilities, including secure connectivity, authentication, and cryptographic features
- Partner closely with engineering to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, and deliver high-quality, secure features
- Translate customer, regulatory, and operational security needs into clear product requirements
- Drive alignment across stakeholders including security, cloud infrastructure, compliance, and customer-facing teams
- Ensure products meet enterprise security expectations and compliance requirements (e.g., FIPS-related considerations)
- Act as the subject matter expert for database security topics, supporting internal teams and strategic customer discussions
- Balance usability, performance, and security in product decisions across on-prem and cloud deployments
