About the Role

Oracle Health Government is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee projects involving the support, maintenance, and lifecycle management of clinical and non-clinical hardware and peripherals within a healthcare environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, security, and regulatory compliance of medical devices, mobile devices, printers, and other equipment essential to delivering high-quality patient care.

You’ll work closely with technical teams, support staff, healthcare partners, and vendors to ensure the reliable performance of hardware devices and integration while assisting with small-scale projects, system updates, issue tracking, and coordination of support activities. You’ll join a hard-working, knowledgeable team dedicated to shaping the EHR experience for service members, veterans, American Indians, and Alaska Natives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage sustainment and support activities for hardware and medical devices across government healthcare facilities documenting and tracking risks and issues. 
  • Lead preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and lifecycle management efforts in coordination with clinical engineering and IT support teams.
  • Ensure all hardware support and maintenance procedures align with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, and other applicable standards) and organizational security/privacy policies. 
  • Track performance, uptime, and service records for hardware and medical devices; ensure issues are resolved promptly and systems are compliant with VA/DoD standards – driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement for support operations.
  • Coordinate upgrades, patches, and device refreshes in accordance with approved change management processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to manage contracts, SLAs, warranties, and field support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues and project workstreams involving equipment sustainment.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on device performance, support metrics, and project status to government leadership and contract management teams.
  • Stay current with advances in medical hardware, regulatory requirements, and patient privacy needs to ensure the safe and compliant delivery of IT services.
  • Support incident response as needed related to medical hardware and systems.

Provide mentorship to junior project managers and technical support staff.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • 7 years of IT project management experience, including at least 3 years supporting healthcare hardware and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with medical devices, point-of-care technology (e.g., WoWs, PACS workstations), hospital IT environments, and integration with healthcare applications (EHR/EMR).
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in clinical settings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ITSM tools, asset management systems, and vendor management in healthcare.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management with experience reporting to government stakeholders.
  • Clearance eligibility (e.g., Public Trust, Secret).
  • U.S. citizenship required due to client contracts.
  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate government security clearance card applicable to your position.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • ITIL or similar process management training.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks as they relate to medical devices and networked clinical systems. 
  • Experience in large-scale healthcare environments (hospitals, clinics).

Expectations

  • Must reside in or around the Arlington, VA area
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned
  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
