As a senior member database software engineering team, you will lead, innovate, influence, design, develop, and operate advanced features across cloud-native scale highly available distributed systems, database core engine, operating systems, and storage subsystems. The position will leverage your expertise in the following (or related) areas:
- Database kernel development
- Query processing or Transaction Processing
- System software, including operating system kernels
- Cloud computing
- Distributed Systems Protocols
- Machine learning
- Computer architecture
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experienced professionals with a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
- At least 10 years of professional experience
- Strong deep technical knowledge on database core internals, proficiency in systems design and development
- Proficiency in developing large production quality code in C /C in a multi-threaded environment, advanced data structures and algorithms
- Previous experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, Horizon DB, Alloy DB etc. is a BIG plus
- Demonstrated excellence in building and operating large scale and/or cloud native products and software services
- Excellent interpersonal and communication including writing & presentation skills,
- Ability to effectively collaborate across functional boundaries in a fast paced agile development environment

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
