Consulting Member of the Technical Staff

As a senior member database software engineering team, you will lead, innovate, influence, design, develop, and operate advanced features across cloud-native scale highly available distributed systems, database core engine, operating systems, and storage subsystems. The position will leverage your expertise in the following (or related) areas:

• Database kernel development
• Query processing or Transaction Processing
• System software, including operating system kernels
• Cloud computing
• Distributed Systems Protocols 
• Machine learning
• Computer architecture

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experienced professionals with a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Strong deep technical knowledge on database core internals, proficiency in systems design and development
• Proficiency in developing large production quality code in C /C in a multi-threaded environment, advanced data structures and algorithms
• Previous experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, Horizon DB, Alloy DB etc. is a BIG plus
• Demonstrated excellence in building and operating large scale and/or cloud native products and software services
• Excellent interpersonal and communication including writing & presentation skills, 
• Ability to effectively collaborate across functional boundaries in a fast paced agile development environment

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
