Architect/Principal Security Software Engineer

We're looking for a seasoned security and system architect with expertise and passion in designing security platforms and applications in distributed systems, multi-tenant services and large-scale infrastructures. Things you’ll do:

• Prototype and design a new trusted infrastructure 
• Define network solutioning and architecture design of new security and network platform
• Champion network and security tool development 
• Design and define security and network mechanisms and implementation best practices

Must have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Experience designing and implementing automated network and security solutions
• History of working in large Java or Golang codebases and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, design patterns and distributed systems.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive.
• Experience building large scale, multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and design new features and systems for our customers.
• Work across teams to engineer the best system (for operations and customers) regardless of organizational boundaries or ownership.
• Debug, maintain, and improve existing systems, focusing especially on reducing operational burden and improving performance.
• Be a generalist who can debug issues across a wide breadth of our stack.
• Scale our systems by building tooling and automation.
• Work with partner teams outside our organization and externally with Oracle.
