Position Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth MRI front-office operations. Key responsibilities include greeting patients politely, promptly, and warmly; conducting patient check-ins; updating patient and insurance information; verifying insurance eligibility; collecting payments; and maintaining a clean, professional waiting area. This role also involves preparing paperwork for upcoming appointments, assisting patients with completing paperwork, addressing patient questions, and scanning and attaching reports to the patient's electronic medical record. Additional tasks include patient check-outs, scheduling follow-up appointments, handling patient phone calls, and performing closing office duties. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a member of our MRI Patient Registration team, you will be the first and last interaction that each patient will have during their visit to ORA's Imaging Center.
Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service experience in a medical office is preferred. A successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of customer service principles, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately.
