Position Responsibilities:
In this position, you'll be responsible for performing physical examinations on patients, formulating diagnoses and treatment plans, providing education, compiling medical data and consulting with a supervising physician as needed. You'll perform suturing, splinting, fracture reductions, injections, aspirations, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and x-rays and more. You'll be responsible for direct patient care in the open access Urgent Care clinical setting. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high level care, maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As an Urgent OrthoCARE Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with ORA, you'll play a hands on role in getting our patient population back to what moves them.
Requirements:
This position requires you to be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with an active and unencumbered Iowa and Illinois license. You must be up to date and current on your CME credits, licenses and board certifications. We would prefer at least two years of previous Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience in an Orthopedics setting, but it is not required. This candidate must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as well as the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately.
