Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Shop Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of equipment and systems within our production environment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove, repair and replace defective parts.
- Identify, suggest, propose, and discuss solutions to equipment and facility issues with management.
- Develop and maintain maintenance logs on all equipment.
- Requisition and order stock parts services for proper and prompt repairs.
- Work with contractors if needed for repair, maintenance and installation jobs.
- Maintain and service electrical, mechanical, heating and cooling systems.
- Maintain and service plumbing, gas, air.
- Produce preventative maintenance schedules, tool inventories, repair logs, etc.
- Interpret electrical drawings.
- Troubleshoot PLC’s, Controls, Motors, Medium Voltage Equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure system integrity.
- Repair and maintain HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal environmental conditions within the facility.
- Operate & maintain field service equipment like scissor lifts and perform welding tasks using welding standards when necessary.
- Read electrical schematics and blueprints accurately to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on automation projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems.
- Support industrial mechanic functions by maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance status or technical issues.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment with a strong understanding of industrial equipment repair.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems diagnostics, troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Strong analysis skills combined with problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial maintenance tasks including troubleshooting high voltage systems and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Work with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision to support production priorities.
- Must have basic hand tools.

- Relevant certifications such as electrical or industrial electrician licenses are highly desirable; military background is a plus for discipline-driven environments.
