Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution, inventory control, and team management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills combined with comprehensive knowledge of logistics, warehouse management systems, and safety protocols. This role is vital in maintaining seamless warehouse functions, supporting e-commerce and 3PL activities, and driving process improvements to optimize productivity and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling
- Lead and manage warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safety-conscious work environment
- Oversee inventory control processes using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AS400 platforms
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards across all operations
- Manage warehouse distribution processes to meet delivery deadlines efficiently
- Implement process improvements to enhance workflow, reduce errors, and increase operational efficiency
- Operate and oversee the use of forklifts and other mechanical equipment for heavy lifting and materials handling
- Monitor shipping & receiving procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations for e-commerce and 3PL clients
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, movements, and discrepancies
- Train staff on best practices for materials handling, safety procedures, and system usage
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with a strong background in warehouse operations
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management, logistics, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management System (WMS), AS400, and other relevant software such as OSHAs guidelines
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation including forklifts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with process improvement initiatives within warehousing or distribution centers
- Familiarity with e-commerce logistics and 3PL operations is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations to ensure workplace safety compliance
