Medical Assistant – Merrick, Long Island
We're looking for an experienced, self-sufficient MA to join our private practice team in
Merrick, Long Island
What You'll Do
- Room patients, record vitals, and document chief complaints in EMR
- Assist providers with procedures, injections, wound care, and EKGs
- Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders
- Handle phlebotomy, lab specimen prep, and result follow-up
- Manage referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refills
- Triage patient calls and portal messages
- Mentor junior MA staff and help keep clinic flow running smoothly
- Perform other duties as assigned by the provider
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of clinical MA experience in an outpatient or private practice setting
- CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certified
- Proficiency with EMR Systems
Compensation: $25–$35/hr based on experience
