Responsibilities
- Assist with lease administration, including property leasing, renewals, and tenant onboarding processes using Yardi or OneSite property management software
- Support rent collection efforts, including data entry, payment processing, and follow-up on overdue accounts
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and work with facilities management teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Maintain accurate records of legal administrative documents such as contracts, notices, and compliance files in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and Landlord-tenant law
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Help manage Section 8 housing programs by ensuring compliance with program regulations and documenting required information
- Assist in conflict management by mediating tenant concerns and supporting resolution strategies while upholding company policies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and Fair Housing regulations
- Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus
- Legal administrative experience related to lease agreements, contracts, and landlord-tenant law
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures, facilities management, and property upkeep standards
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing filing systems for legal documents and compliance records
- Demonstrated negotiation skills for upselling opportunities or lease renewals in a professional manner
