EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ work experience, QA and/or Training experience is a plus.
- Automotive or I/M industry experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Qualifications:
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position will assist the QA/QC manager with planning, specifying, managing and implementing training, quality assurance and quality control processes for the Illinois Vehicle Inspection Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the training of decentralized employees as well as any retraining that is necessary (classroom, hands on training, policies and procedures)
- Assist QA/QC Manager in developing and implementing quality control and quality assurance procedures and scripts for performing acceptance testing on equipment and software in support of the Illinois Program.
- Assisting centralized management with any training of Opus employees on policies and procedures.
- Assist the QA/QC Manager with any manager or lane inspector training materials.
- Train and lead the trainers within the department.
- Work with the Audit Coordinator on deficiencies that have been identified.
- Work with the IEPA on any deficiencies, training materials or procedures that have been identified.
- Assist with continual improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Serve as point of contact for Station (Centralized and I&R) and call center personnel in offering assistance to vehicle testing/equipment concerns.
- Work with an outsourced company to improve or adjust any computer based training that is necessary.
- Perform other tasks as required/assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
