Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate leads through cold calling, referrals, and follow-ups
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Conduct test drives and present vehicle features and benefits to potential customers
- Handle negotiations with professionalism and transparency to close deals
- Accurately complete all sales paperwork and contracts
- Keep detailed notes and follow-ups within the dealership CRM systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory and current promotions
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in auto sales or a similar customer-facing sales role
- Proven ability to cold call and convert leads into customers
- Strong negotiation skills with a customer-first attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with dealer management systems such as:
- Frazer
- DealerCenter
- Dealertrack
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Prior experience working in an independent used car dealership
- Knowledge of subprime financing options
