Reports To: Operations Manager
Required Experience:
- Minimum Associates Degree in Chemistry. Bachelors Degree Preferred.
- 1-3 years of lab experience and quality control experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have strong mathematics skill.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Project and time management skills.
- Follow instructions and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen prior to employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support new product Research and Development through preparation and testing of liquid and cured coating samples under direction of the Operations Manager.
- Quality Control testing of production batches.
Specific Duties:
- Operate lab equipment: Mixers, lab scales, environmental chamber, viscometer, gel timer, lab oven, etc.
- Maintain detailed records of all samples prepared and tested by recording formulation information and test results in the lab data base.
- Maintain proper records of all quality control procedures required of production batches. Organize batch retains.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the lab area by performing general housekeeping duties.
- Overtime as necessary.
