What You’ll Do (aka Description):
It is time to take your career to the next level. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor at Optum, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision of teammates and management of daily departmental operations and functions under the direction of a clinician in a given patient care area as well as providing direct patient when needed. You will be responsible for performing operational duties like: participating in nursing leadership meetings, evaluating nursing competencies, hiring, mentoring and training teammates, and handling patient concerns, as required under the direction of the site administrator or designee.
What Work Will Look Like:
- Location: Montebello, CA
- Setting: Urgent Care
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with some occasional nights and weekends and capacity for flexible scheduling
- 25-35 direct reports consisting of per diem and full time RN's, LVN's, and Medical Assistants
- Exempt
What's required?
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current California RN license.
- Basic Life Support for Providers (AHA) -100% online certification is not acceptable.
- Advanced Life Support and/or PALS certification
- Over 3 year of experience
It'd be even better if (#Preferred):
- Proven management development and leadership skills
- Prior supervisory or management experience in an urgent care or immediate care setting.
- Prior ambulatory care experience.
- Experience in evaluating emergencies and assisting/ implementing emergency measures
