Senior Platform Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time | Location: Hybrid (Orlando, FL)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise organization, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to provide advanced operational support, troubleshooting, and platform reliability engineering across critical enterprise systems and operational technology platforms. This role will serve as a senior escalation point across infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to diagnose complex production issues, coordinate resolutions, and improve long-term system stability and performance.
The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative technical problem solver with strong troubleshooting capabilities across applications, infrastructure, databases, and networking.

Experience of the Right Candidate:
- 5 years of advanced troubleshooting and operational support experience.
- Strong experience diagnosing and resolving complex production incidents across infrastructure and application environments.
- Strong SQL and database experience including Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle.
- Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis for troubleshooting and operational support.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server environments.
- Strong networking fundamentals including firewalls, connectivity troubleshooting, and data flow analysis.
- Experience partnering with vendors, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to drive issue resolution.
- Experience with cloud-hosted environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, CI/CD tooling, or deployment support processes is preferred.
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for platform, infrastructure, and operational issues.
- Troubleshoot and triage complex production incidents while driving root cause analysis and resolution efforts.
- Partner with vendors, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to support critical enterprise applications and services.
- Support operational stability, performance monitoring, and day-to-day platform maintenance activities.
- Assist with software releases, infrastructure upgrades, testing efforts, and change management activities.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes across enterprise environments.
- Implement automation and process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and platform reliability.
- Coordinate remediation activities related to platform security, compliance, and operational risk.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting critical enterprise systems and operational platforms.
