Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Technician to join their Infrastructure team.
12 month contract to hire, hybrid schedule role in Denver, CO. Targeting $30/hr W2
W2 only - no C2C/sponsorship available.
This role provides front-line technical support for end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. You’ll play a key role in maintaining productivity by delivering high-quality IT service, with a particular focus on executive support and adherence to cybersecurity and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 desktop support for hardware, software, and mobile devices
- Handle service desk tickets, troubleshoot technical issues, and escalate as needed
- Support Microsoft Windows, M365, and Active Directory (user management, GPO assignments)
- Deploy and image desktops/laptops; maintain user documentation
- Assist with A/V setup and conference room equipment
- Use ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) to manage incidents and workflows
- Participate in system maintenance, client hardware/software updates, and process improvement
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements
- Provide onsite support and collaborate with remote IT teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Windows OS, M365, and Active Directory
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including executive support
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL practices
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and participate in on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1 years in desktop support within an enterprise IT environment
- Familiarity with IT procurement and automation of repeatable IT workflows
