About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in keeping our office running smoothly. This is a position where no two days are exactly alike — and that's what makes it rewarding.
What You'll Be Doing
- Greeting and checking in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits prior to patient visits
- Collecting co-pays and processing billing transactions
- Learning and navigating our practice management software
- Answering phones, responding to inquiries, and managing patient records
- Pre-testing patients for the doctor
- General office tasks: janitorial, order/stocking supplies, etc
What We're Looking For
- No prior optometry or medical office experience required — we'll train the right person
- Fast, accurate typist who is comfortable with computers and picks up new software quickly
- Calm and composed when the phones are ringing and the waiting room is full
- Excellent communicator — friendly, clear, and professional with patients and staff
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Someone who shows up, follows through, and takes ownership of their role
Schedule
- We need some one 2-3 days/week M-S; weekdays will change quarterly; Saturday is required..
- M-W 9:30a - 6p (lunch 2-2:50p); Sat 9:15a - 5p (lunch 1-1:50p)
