Optician/Optometric Technician

Responsibilities:

As an Optician Technician, you may:

• Assist patients with eyewear selection, lens education and fittings
• Take precise optical measurements and handle eyewear dispenses/adjustments/repairs
• Submit, track and verify optical lab orders
• Conduct pre-testing and support the doctor during exams
• Educate patients on proper eyewear and contact lens care
• Schedule, confirm and manage appointments efficiently
• Verify vision insurance benefits and handle billing tasks
• Facilitate check-in and check-out procedures
• Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in an optometric or optical setting (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Familiarity with EHR systems and optical terminology is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to multitask and switch between roles as needed
• A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service
