Job Overview:
OptoFidelity is seeking a highly skilled Machine Vision Software Engineer to join our clients’ innovative engineering team in Redmond, WA. This role requires strong coding practices in Python, and other languages with a focus on image and data processing. Additional responsibilities include computer vision, machine learning, AI, and other cutting-edge projects. Familiarity with optics and color science is a valuable asset.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Vision Science, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on software development.
- Proficiency in Python, C and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in image processing and computer vision.
- Proficiency in source control and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with ETL data pipelines, machine learning and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with the general usage, capabilities, and limitations of AI tools.
- Demonstrated the ability to follow best coding practices and leverage AI to produce efficient, maintainable code.
- Self-motivation and a proven ability to tackle complex problems independently.
- Strong communication skills
Additional Nice to have:
- Familiarity with geometrical optics, diffractive optics and color science
- Experience in image quality testing in a production environment
- Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese
