Job Description: Inventory & Quality Assurance Lead
Position Overview
The Inventory & Quality Assurance Lead manages the accurate tracking and handling of inventory within manufacturing and warehouse settings, while also ensuring that all products and processes adhere to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role combines oversight of materials, supplies, and product movement with daily monitoring of production practices to uphold company policies and industry standards for safety, identity, strength, purity, and compliance. Collaboration with warehouse staff, production teams, and management is essential to optimize both inventory accuracy and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and reconcile inventory levels daily, ensuring materials and products are accurately tracked and readily available.
· Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and full physical inventories to keep records up to date.
· Investigate inventory discrepancies, resolve issues, and report findings to management.
· Monitor manufacturing processes for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Review batch records, logbooks, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
· Assist with investigations of deviations and nonconformances, and help implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Maintain controlled documents, including SOPs, specifications, forms, and training records.
· Coordinate movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods between departments.
· Conduct in-process inspections and collect product samples for laboratory testing.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout all operations.
· Calibrate and verify measuring equipment and production scales.
· Prepare inventory and quality reports for management review.
· Train staff on inventory control, GMP, sanitation, and quality procedures.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and quality.
· Escalate quality or safety concerns promptly to management.
· Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) management to preserve product quality and minimize waste.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in inventory, science, or quality preferred.
· Two or more years of experience in inventory control, manufacturing, or quality assurance.
· Familiarity with inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Knowledge of GMP and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, ISO).
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Forklift certification is a plus.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
· Work performed in manufacturing, warehouse, and office settings.
· Personal protective equipment (gloves, gown, hair/beard covering, safety glasses) required in production/GMP areas.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
