Interventional Radiology Technologist – Contract Position

Location: Northern Michigan Region (Traverse City & Petoskey, Or Novi MI)

Schedule

• Traverse City: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Petoskey: Monday to Thursday, 4x10 shifts starting at 6:00 or 7:00 AM
• Includes rotating on-call coverage during weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Fixed coverage dates may apply depending on assignment
  
  

Compensation Range: $65 - $75 an hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for contract opportunities in Northern Michigan. The ideal candidate will have experience in body and vascular IR procedures, with neuro IR exposure preferred. This role involves assisting physicians in a variety of image-guided interventions, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high imaging standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in interventional radiology procedures, including:
• Peripheral vascular interventions (e.g., SFA/SMA angioplasty, renal artery procedures)
• Venous access (e.g., mediports, dialysis catheters)
• Body IR procedures
• Operate and maintain fluoroscopy equipment (Philips C-arm proficiency preferred)
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and sterile technique
• Monitor patient condition and document procedures
• Perform quality assurance checks and manage supplies
• Adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards
• Participate in on-call rotations
  

Qualifications

Required:

• ARRT (R) certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in IR (hospital or outpatient setting)
  
  

Preferred

• ARRT (VI) or (CV) certification
• ACLS certification
• Experience with Philips C-arm systems
• Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and IR protocols
• Excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced environments
