Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install plumbing systems according to project plans.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, and appliances using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks to ensure secure and durable plumbing connections.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems on construction sites to identify issues and ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC teams to coordinate installation efforts on complex projects.
- Use basic math skills for measuring, calculating pipe lengths, flow rates, and material quantities needed for each project.
- Lift heavy materials safely while adhering to OSHA guidelines; handle construction site equipment responsibly.
Qualifications
- Valid state-issued license as a Plumber with relevant certifications.
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of construction plumbing practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, welding techniques, HVAC systems, and schematic interpretation.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to perform remodeling or handyman tasks as needed; experience with assembly or carpentry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with basic math aptitude for precise measurements and calculations.
