Options Early Childhood Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated addition to our team for our Infant room.
Position: Infant Teacher
This room operating with a collaborative team of one Lead Teacher and one Assistant Teacher.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to the individual needs of infants and young toddlers.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and safe environment that supports early childhood development.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities designed to promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain predictable daily routines and schedules to offer stability and consistency.
- Monitor children continuously during playtime, meal times, and nap time to ensure safety.
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement educational and recreational activities.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the childcare facility.
Experience & Skills
- Childcare Background: Previous experience working in a licensed daycare setting is required.
- Child Development: Practical knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmental milestones.
- Organization: Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Core Qualities: High degree of patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Adaptability: Skilled at adapting approach to match the unique personalities and individual needs of each child.
Education & Credentials
- Lead Teacher: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) or an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required.
- Assistant Teacher: Early childhood education or relevant direct experience in a daycare setting preferred.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly pay based directly on BOTH relevant daycare experience AND educational background. If a candidate has experience but no education or visa versa then the compensation will reflect that.
