The Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative DevOps Engineer to join their Quant team. This role is ideal for a technology professional with a strong passion for data, automation, and modern DevOps practices who thrives in sophisticated, high-impact environments.
The successful candidate will collaborate with quantitative researchers, data and application engineers, vendors, and IT partners. They will develop, deploy, and support robust CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments. You will play a critical role in supporting the full application and data lifecycle—from development through production—within a Azure-based Investment Data Analytics Platform. Your contributions will directly enhance development efficiency, system reliability, and operational excellence across the organization.
The ideal candidate has:
- 6 years of DevOps experience in cloud-based, data-focused or research-driven environments
- Hands-on CI/CD pipeline development including approval gates and deployment automation
- Azure cloud infrastructure management via IaC (Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent)
- Strong scripting in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell
- Git administration- branching strategies, versioning, and code promotion
- Containerization experience with Docker or Podman
- Working knowledge of Snowflake or similar data platforms
- Production support chops- incident triage, RCA, and resolution coordination
- Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, test, and deployment workflows across dev, test, and production environments.
- Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scale.
- Develop IaC solutions for cloud storage, compute, and networking.
- Administer Git-based source control — enforcing branching strategies, versioning standards, and code promotion practices.
- Containerize and standardize application deployments using Docker or Podman.
- Apply configuration management and security best practices aligned with enterprise standards.
- Provide production support including incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination.
- Partner with data engineers, quantitative researchers, and platform teams on high-impact initiatives.
