Job Title: Outside Sales & Merchandising Representative
Location: Washington DC – Territory Based
Reports to: Regional Director of Field Operations
Job Summary
The Outside Sales & Merchandising Representative is a high energy, field based role responsible for driving brand growth and retail excellence. You will manage a dedicated territory of retail accounts (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Harris Teeter, etc.), acting as the primary link between our brand partners and store level decision makers. The ideal candidate doesn't just "stock shelves" they actively sell in new placements, secure floor space, and ensure our brands dominate the shelf.
Key Responsibilities
• Territory Sales Growth: Actively "sell from the backroom to the shelf." Negotiate with Department Managers to secure secondary displays, endcaps, and additional facings.
• Retail Execution: Ensure 100% of the weekly visit schedule is completed. Maintain perfect shelf conditions, including stock rotation (FIFO), correct pricing, and tag placement.
• Relationship Management: Build and leverage strong professional relationships with store personnel to become the preferred partner in your category.
• Inventory & Order Management: Monitor inventory levels to prevent out of stocks. Work with store teams to write orders and correct inventory balances on the spot.
• Visual Merchandising: Execute brand schematics (planograms) and create visually striking displays that drive impulse purchases.
• CRM Reporting: Utilize mobile technology to provide real-time data and photo documentation for every store visit.
Skills & Requirements
• Mindset: A "Sales-First" attitude with a strong drive to exceed performance KPIs.
• Experience: 1–2 years in outside sales, field merchandising, or grocery retail preferred.
• Communication: Ability to communicate persuasively and professionally with store management.
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active on your feet for the shift.
• Travel: Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
• Pay: $40,000 Up to $50,000.00 per year (Base Performance-based Incentives).

Salary : $40,000 - $50,000
