🌟 Now Hiring: Full-Time WIC Nutritionist (35 hours/week) – Stamford, CT
Step into a role where your expertise directly impacts families every single day. As a WIC Nutritionist, you’ll empower participants with the knowledge and support they need to make healthy choices for themselves and their children.
💼 What You’ll Be Doing
In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will:
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify participant needs
Provide personalized nutrition education, counseling, and breastfeeding support
Help families set and achieve realistic health and nutrition goals
Tailor WIC food packages based on individual needs and guidelines
Ensure accurate certification and compliance with program standards
Collaborate with healthcare and social service providers through referrals
Maintain accurate documentation using the CT-WIC system
Promote breastfeeding as the preferred infant feeding method
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
🎓 What You Bring
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field (advanced degree or dietetic internship may substitute for experience)
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or community setting (preferred)
Strong computer and data entry skills

Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse populations
Ability to educate, motivate, and connect with families

Bilingual skills
Lactation Consultant certification
