Role Description This full-time, on-site Retail Sales Consultant role is based in Ledgewood, NJ. The Retail Sales Consultant engages directly with customers in the store, identifying their connectivity needs and recommending suitable internet, mobile, TV, and phone solutions. Responsibilities include explaining product features and pricing, processing sales transactions, handling account inquiries, and supporting customers with upgrades or changes to services. The role also involves meeting or exceeding sales targets, maintaining an organized and welcoming store environment, and using company systems to track leads, follow up with customers, and ensure accurate documentation. The consultant collaborates with team members and leadership to improve customer experience, share feedback, and stay informed about new products, promotions, and policies.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and address customer needs in a clear and respectful manner.
• Sales and negotiation skills, including experience meeting goals, presenting solutions, and handling objections in a retail or similar environment.
• Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn about internet, mobile, TV, and phone products, including how services work and how they benefit customers.
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain product features, pricing, and policies in a straightforward way.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customers, tasks, and follow-ups while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfort working with point-of-sale systems, customer account tools, and standard office software to process transactions and manage customer information.
• Ability to work on-site on a set schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a retail environment.
• Previous retail, customer-facing, or telecommunications experience is beneficial but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is typically expected.
