Job Description:
Exterior Feasibility Systems Engineer will work as the feasibility leader between Design & Release Engineering and Studio Engineering to help do the following:
(a) Help establish hard engineering points to guide Studio's Class A Surface Creation (communicated via Master Sections creation).
(b) Assess Studio Surface Release to the engineering requirements (supported by D&R Engineers and Suppliers).
(c) Part of Co-Creation team to find solutions and address disconnects between Studio Surface and Engineering
Requirements:
- CAD and CATIA/3D experience is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 3 Years of Design & Release, Design Studio, Integration or related experience in Body Exterior.
- Good interpersonal skills and leadership behaviors.
- Systems/ Integration experience working with cross functional team setting is a plus. Strong CAD Skills (Draw sections/ 3D Solutions).
- Experience in TeamCenter is a plus.
- Feasibility Engineer will be assigned to be the Vehicle Rear End Specialist.
- Prior Experience in Liftgate/ Tailgate/ PU Box/ Bumper/ Fascia/ Taillamps is highly preferred.
- Ability to draw 2D feasibility sections to guide studio surface development.
- Knowledge of injection mold tooling, design, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of sheet metal stamping, 2D CAD geometric compatibility/optimization.
- Experience working in a studio environment.
