Clinical Research Lab Technician
Full-Time | Orange City
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Lab Technician to join our fast-paced clinical research team.
Clinical research experience is REQUIRED. Applicants without prior clinical research experience will not be considered.
The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with phlebotomy and clinical trial specimen processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and protocol-required specimen collections.
- Process, centrifuge, aliquot, label, store, and ship biological specimens.
- Follow study protocols and laboratory manuals precisely.
- Prepare lab kits and supplies for scheduled study visits.
- Complete laboratory requisitions, specimen logs, and shipping documentation.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, temperature logs, and supply inventory.
- Track laboratory kits and expiration dates.
- Communicate laboratory issues, queries, and discrepancies to study coordinators.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inspection-ready laboratory.
- Follow GCP, HIPAA, OSHA, site SOPs, and study-specific requirements.
- Assist the clinical research team with study-related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Prior clinical research experience — REQUIRED
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience — REQUIRED
- Experience processing and handling clinical trial specimens.
- Experience with central lab kits and specimen shipments.
- Knowledge of clinical research protocols and GCP.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working directly with research participants.
Preferred: Phlebotomy certification, BLS/CPR, IATA training, and previous experience at a dedicated clinical research site.
