What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant position at optimal rehabilitation ot & pt, pllc?
Our private practice is owned by a Physical and an Occupational therapist. We are looking for a professional COTA with a minimum of One(1) year; working in an outpatient department with Orthopedic, neurologic diagnoses like Shoulder, elbow, wrist, and finger sprains and muscle strains, lack of coordination, CVA, and muscle weakness. Rehabilitation post shoulder, elbow, and hand surgeries.
COTA must have proper New York State certification before starting to work in our office.
Ability to work with adults, school-aged children, helping OT with evaluations, and performing treatments without direct supervision.
Experience in manual skills like STM/MFR, Joint mobilization, Kinesio Tape application, therapeutic massage, and therapeutic exercises is a plus, but can be shown and instructed.
Must have good communication skills: communicating with patients, doctors, therapists, and aids.
