What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coordinator position at Optimae LifeServices?
JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Coordinator leads in assisting the health needs of customers. These duties include, but are not limited to, the scheduling of appointments and updating medication changes, and informing staff of such appointment dates and changes to medication. The Medical Coordinator will be part of the staff meetings and give updates on any health and medication issues that need to be addressed. These duties help with the coordination of the site as well as the coordination of customer care. This position will require some on-call shifts and weekend availabilities. The Medical Coordinator will also serve as a Site Team Leader and will report to the Program Director.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; bachelor's degree from accredited college or university preferred
. * LPN or Medication Management Certification required.
- Medication Management course completed within first six months of hire.
- Experience in medication management preferred.
