Description
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide strategic direction, coaching, and mentorship to Program and Project Managers, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment. Cultivate a high-performing team culture that emphasizes innovation, ownership, and excellence in delivery.
- Program Oversight & Execution: Oversee the resolution of critical customer-related program issues to ensure satisfaction and program continuity. Facilitate phase exit reviews in collaboration with functional and plant leadership to confirm readiness and alignment at each stage. Lead cross-functional teams in addressing and resolving escalated challenges, driving accountability and timely solutions. Ensure program financial performance is clearly defined, monitored, and optimized throughout the development lifecycle to support strategic and operational goals.
- Governance & Compliance: Manage and maintain the company-wide Engineering Change system, ensuring full compliance with the Business System and applicable internal and external standards. Uphold company guidelines related to emergency evacuation procedures and employee safety, promoting a secure and compliant work environment.
- Performance & Risk Management: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess overall program health, conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies, ensure program launch timelines are met, and manage adherence to capital and tooling budgets. Additionally, track and ensure timely completion of engineering change tasks to support program success.
- Strategic Input & Process Optimization: Support new business RFQs by providing strategic input and guidance, while continuously enhancing PMO templates and tools through benchmarking best practices. Establish and maintain consistent project management methodologies, processes, and tools to drive efficiency, alignment, and successful execution across initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Program Management or Engineering within the automotive industry, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cost management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
