Manufacturing Associate - Print Applicator

We are an online retailer selling to the education, government, military, and health care industries. All of our manufacturing is done at our Shrewsbury, MA location.
This position will work in all areas of our manufacturing process but will focus in the print application area. This role will play a critical role in order fulfillment. The successful candidate will need to be highly organized and efficient in order to prioritize and complete work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will need strong attention to detail, the ability to read work orders, math skills, effectively utilize power tools & equipment provided, and complete work in a timely manner. The position requires the ability to operate various tools with good safety protocols and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Operate an application table to ensure on-time delivery, safety, and quality standards are met
· Select proper materials based on work order
· Handle and maneuver delicate vinyl prints
· Read production schedules and ready appropriate materials and supplies based on work order requirements
· Inspect incoming build materials for quality
· Trim all stock and custom prints down to appropriate size with various cutting tools
· Safely and responsibly handle blades (exact knives, razor blades, cutting table, etc.)
· Applying vinyl prints to various substrates from small 9" x 12" lap boards to full-sized 5' x 12' sized dry erase boards using lamination tables
· Manually apply vinyl prints either dry or wet to various substrates
· Assemble framing to various sizes of boards up to 5’ x 12’ to ensure on-time delivery, safety, and quality standards are met
· Assembling, boxing, and moving of large finished print goods
· Carefully inspect final product to ensure quality standards
· Communicate and assist with up/down stream production to ensure on-time delivery
· Monitor, communicate, and escalate material and product levels to ensure sufficient inventory levels
· Learn and fill-in for other manufacturing positions as needed
· Complete preventative maintenance on equipment per weekly reports
· Monitor and record all waste with provided worksheets
· Knowledge of OptiMA product lines and build components
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
· High attention to detail and measurements
· Communicate process issues utilizing the Escalation Plan
· Cross train for other job functions and perform those functions as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous printing or application experience a plus
- Previous warehouse experience a plus
- Proficiency with measurements and basic math skills
- Problem solving skills
- Punctual and dependable
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work unscheduled and scheduled overtime as required
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Able to stand on feet for long periods of time as well as walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch in a very warm/cold environment
- Must be able to carry up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Frequently carry, lift and/or move substrate panels up to 5' x 12'
- Climb up and down ladders and/or stairs
- Observe all safety and security procedures
- Work in a moderate noise level environment

- 8 hour day shift, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (no weekends!)
- Shift is 8:00am – 4:30pm with half hour unpaid lunch and paid 15 minute break
