Job Description:
The Dispatch Supervisor contributes to the Optima mission by overseeing the coordination of transportation operations, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. While maintaining excellent customer service standards, the Dispatch Supervisor will be instrumental in optimizing routing, managing driver schedules, and resolving logistical issues.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the Action: Oversee daily dispatch operations to keep deliveries running flawlessly.
- Master the Schedule: Assign and coordinate drivers for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize Every Mile: Plan smart, cost-effective routes that beat traffic and deadlines.
- Stay in Control: Monitor fleet performance in real time to ensure safety and on-time results.
- Delight Customers: Communicate updates, solve issues fast, and deliver service that stands out.
- Solve on the Spot: Tackle delays, breakdowns, and challenges with quick, confident decisions.
- Champion Safety & Compliance: Uphold DOT standards and company policies every step of the way.
- Inspire the Team: Train, mentor, and motivate dispatchers to perform at their best.
- Keep It on Record: Maintain accurate data and reports for insights and improvements.
- Collaborate to Win: Partner across departments to ensure smooth, reliable operations.
Qualifications: Preference to bilingual; Spanish or Portuguese
- Strong Leadership: Skilled at guiding teams, juggling priorities, and keeping operations on point.
- Tech-Savvy: Confident using dispatch systems, GPS tracking, and route optimization tools.
- Clear Communicator: Professional, proactive, and great at connecting with drivers and customers alike.
- Quick Problem Solver: Sharp analytical thinker who thrives under pressure and finds fast solutions.
- Safety-Minded Expert: Solid understanding of DOT rules and transportation best practices.
- Industry Experience: 2 years in dispatch or transportation operations (more is a plus!).

Physical Requirements:
- Ability lift up to 40lbs, stand for long periods of time , push or pull up to 40lbs.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Compensation:
- Salary: $23-$25 hourly
