Warehouse Lead/Part time

The Warehouse Lead is an hourly, working-lead role that supports the Warehouse Assistant Supervisor by guiding warehouse associates through day-to-day sort and warehouse operations on an assigned shift or area. This role performs hands-on warehouse work alongside associates while helping keep the team on pace, following safety procedures, and flagging issues that need supervisor attention. This role may be scheduled on either shift, including some rotation between the two, based on business needs. The Warehouse Lead does not have formal supervisory authority (such as hiring, discipline, or scheduling) but serves as the first point of contact for associates on the floor when the Warehouse Assistant Supervisor is occupied elsewhere.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sort floor, performing sorting and routesorting tasks while guiding warehouse associates through daily priorities.
• Help keep inbound and outbound freight moving on schedule, flagging receiving, scanning, or workflow issues to the Warehouse Assistant Supervisor.
• Reinforce proper use of sort machines and warehouse equipment, and model safe work practices, including forklift safety, in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Watch for safety hazards or policy violations during a shift and report them promptly to the Warehouse Assistant Supervisor.
• Assist with trailer staging and communicate equipment or maintenance needs to the appropriate team.
• Provide onthefloor training, coaching, and orientation to new and existing warehouse associates.
• Help track shift productivity and communicate status updates and roadblocks to the Warehouse Assistant Supervisor.
• Step in to coordinate task assignments among associates in a specific area when the Warehouse Assistant Supervisor is unavailable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic working knowledge of OSHA standards and warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
• Developing leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate peers.
• Sound judgment and the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Clear verbal communication skills for coordinating with associates and supervisors.
• Comfortable working in a fastpaced, production and datadriven environment.

Knowledge and Experience

• At least 6 months of warehouse experience; prior lead experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated reliability and good judgment in a fastpaced operational setting.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• We are looking to fill 2 shifts MonFri 3am6:30am and Friday Tues 3am6:30am
