OPTIM ORTHOPEDICS is seeking a full time Patient Access Supervisor for the Savannah, GA location.
Position Title: Patient Access Supervisor
Primary Duties:
Provides administrative direction of the daily activities of the Patient Access department.
Assists with the departmental workflow and procedures.
Ensures adequate staffing by providing support as needed for each location. Will be required to travel to all physician home-based locations for team training and support.
Ensures overall productivity and equitable distribution for the provider schedules and monitors staff to ensure provider protocols are being followed.
Monitors telephone system data for staff productivity and provides monthly reporting to Patient Access Manager.
Monitors scheduling buckets and online appointment requests to ensure timely processing of referrals in accordance with the department goals.
Provides assistance as needed for patient complaint resolution. Coaches staff on best practices for conflict resolution in dealing with patient complaints.
Collaborates, with the Patient Access Manager, in the recruiting, onboarding process, and training of new hires.
Monitors time clock activities and provides recommendations for overtime.
Assists with the reviews and employee performance as scheduled.
Interprets and enforces department and institution policies.
Provides verbal counseling for staff disciplinary action at the direction/guidance of the Patient Access Manager.
Facilitates, with other management team members, resolution of any administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open, with staff and Patient Access Manager, to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthy atmosphere.
Motivates staff members to reach their professional goals through coaching and mentoring.
