Cash Posting Manager

Optim Health System is seeking a full time Cash Posting Manager for our Savannah location.

Job Requirements:

• Maintains current knowledge of cash posting functions while maintaining appropriate certifications and credentials.
• Demonstrates self-direction, problem-solving and a role model for all staff.
• Supervises the day to day work functions of the cash posting staff.
• Supervises and coordinates the work flow by means of monitoring quevolume, reports and data.
• Utilizes current and appropriate resources to provide up to dateinformation and direction to all staff.
• Monitors, directs and instructs personnel in order to achieve adequateproductivity.
• Performs interviews, hiring, orientation, training, counseling,evaluation, in-services and education of cash posting staff in tandem withthe Department Manager.
• Educates, trains and updates staff regarding policies and proceduresexpectations and outcomes.
• Creates and coordinates all training materials
• Responds to administration/team member inquiries and resolvecomplex issues.
• Prepares reports/statistics and submits to Administration on a regularbasis relating to the balancing of all cash to all entities.
• Analyzes and advises Manager of personal and workflow issues and offers suggestions for resolution.
• Participates in quality improvement programs.
• Tracks trends in cash posting errors and institutes correction plans to prevent further posting errors.
• Performs the basic functions of cash posting and balancing
• Plans and schedules staff meetings as needed to educate and motivate staff.
• Responsible for balancing the daily batches to the deposits.
• Ensures that all money and adjustments are applied to the appropriate account in a timely manner.
• Ensures that the total of payments and adjustments are posted ondaily monitor control log and emailed to appropriate department.
• Ensures all monies are correctly posted by close of each Day and Month to ensure timely reconciliation of cash.
• Download daily bank deposits and reconcile them to cash posting on a daily basis, ensuring all cash deposited the prior day is fully posted within the current business day.
• Monitor volume of unapplied payments on a weekly basis, coordinating with appropriate staff to remediate unrecognized revenue.
• Assists with special projects upon request
• Performs other duties as required by management.
