Position Overview:
As a Senior Program Manager at OptiGrid, you’ll be the driving force behind cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring complex power systems products are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. Your leadership will directly influence product success, customer satisfaction, and the evolution of our technology.
You’ll collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, product management, and executive leadership, guiding programs from concept through commercialization. Your work will ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and innovation.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Program Execution: Own the planning, coordination, and execution of power systems product development programs from concept to mass production.
- Drive Timelines & Budgets: Manage program timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Foster communication and teamwork across engineering, manufacturing, product, and QA teams.
- Mitigate Risks: Identify risks, create mitigation plans, and proactively resolve roadblocks by working with engineering leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Manage Stakeholders: Set and manage stakeholder expectations, providing regular status updates to leadership.
- Track Performance: Monitor key performance metrics (cost, schedule, technical performance) to ensure program success.
- Champion Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the evolution of program management best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred).
- 5 years of experience in technical program/project management, preferably in power electronics, energy systems, or related hardware environments.
- Proven track record of delivering complex hardware programs from concept to production.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
Bonus Points:
- Experience launching products in power electronics or energy storage systems.
- Hands-on experience with decentralized energy services or EV charging infrastructure.
- Familiarity with battery system manufacturing and compliance testing.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies and cross-functional team leadership.

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
