About Optical Arts
Optical Arts is an independent optical boutique that has proudly served the Toledo community since 1962. We are looking for a licensed Doctor of Optometry to provide comprehensive eye examinations in our established optical practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an optometrist seeking a flexible schedule, an additional source of income, or an opportunity to begin building their professional presence in the Toledo area—without the expense and responsibility of opening their own office.

We are seeking a patient-focused optometrist to provide eye examinations at our Toledo location on a part-time basis.
Schedule:
- Thursdays: Beginning at 5:00 p.m.
- Saturdays: Beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The schedule and patient volume can be discussed as part of the arrangement.
Compensation & Benefits of the Arrangement
- $50 per eye examination, paid directly to the doctor.
- No office rental fees.
- Access to our existing examination room and available equipment.
- Administrative support for appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient paperwork.
- An established optical business with a history of serving the local community.
- A flexible independent contractor arrangement that may complement an existing practice or other professional commitments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations within your professional scope of practice.
- Evaluate patients' vision and ocular health.
- Provide appropriate prescriptions and clinical recommendations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Deliver professional, compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Ohio laws, licensing requirements, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry program.
- Active Ohio optometry license in good standing by the start date.
- Current professional liability insurance.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional clinical judgment.
