FT Dietary Assistant Manager - Abbyshire Care Center

Position Summary:

The purpose of this job is to assist with the supervision of the kitchen team and operation and to ensure the provision of nutritional, tasty, and cost-efficient meals for the residents. This position provides guidance and operational oversight to all center related to food and dining programs under the direction and support of the Dietary Manager related to feeding, nutrition, dining services, program development implementation, costs, and regulatory/quality compliance.

• Assist in preparing meals according to menus and standardized recipes.
• Support meal service and tray delivery to residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and utensils.
• Store food and supplies properly, rotating stock to minimize waste.
• Follow infection control and food safety policies.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with survey and regulatory requirements.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Serve Safe Level II Certification
• 2-5 years' experience working as a Food Service Manager or Supervisor capacity
• Must possess good technical and computer skills

Preferred:

• Food service or kitchen experience in healthcare setting.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Standing/walking for most of shift; frequent bending and lifting (5-40 lbs.).
• Ability to push food carts and work in hot kitchen environment.
