What you'll do
As an OpServe Event Safety Agent, you are part of the team responsible for keeping live events safe, organized, and running smoothly.
You will be assigned to posts such as entry gates, access control points, stage areas, or perimeter positions. Your role is to maintain a professional presence, stay aware of your surroundings, and communicate clearly with your team.
Throughout the event, you will assist guests, support staff, and respond to situations as they arise. This includes managing access, giving direction, addressing disruptive behavior, and supporting emergency response when needed.
This is a hands-on role. We expect our agents to be engaged, alert, and part of the operation.
Events can be fast-paced, involve large crowds, and require long hours on your feet. Stay professional, stay aware, and take care of the people around you at all times.
Some things we expect
• Maintain a professional safety presence at live events
• Assist guests, staff, and performers in a welcoming way
• Monitor assigned areas and report safety concerns
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
Requirements
• Maryland Security License (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, professional, and accountable
• Comfortable in high-energy event environments
• Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods
Preferred:
• Prior military, law enforcement, or event security experience
Pay & Scheduling
Starting Pay: $21/hour (licensed Maryland security agents)
